Day 1:

Pick up from Dar-es-salaam Hotel and drive to Tanga. Hot lunch at a Restaurant. Afternoon, do the historical tour of town. Overnight at Mkongwe Hotel

Day 2:

After early morning breakfast, drive to Pangani. Activites in Pangani:
1. Walking tour of historic Pangani: guided tour of the historic sites of old pangani. Tours include visit to the original slave depots and slave market, the freedom grounds, old German graves, ancient mosque and traditional houses. The tour also gives an insight into the 15th and the 16th Century history and culture of Pangani town.
2. Pangani river cruise: 3 hour cruise up the pangani river to view bird life, hippos and crocodiles. Sip fresh coconut milk (Madafu) and see how traditional fishermen catch river prawns and crabs. The tour also goes through a forest of coconut plantation and gives the opportunity to watch the sun setting over the river.
Overnight and dinner at Mkoma Bay Tented Lodge

Day 3:

Breakfast at the lodge. Snorkeling at Maziwe Island: enjoy snorkeling in the crystal clear water around Maziwe Island. The reef is home to several species of fish, starfish and other marine life. Overnight and dinner at Mkoma Bay tented lodge

Day 4:

Breakfast at the lodge. Drive back to Dar-es-salaam
