(HUT ACCOMMODATION ON MOUNT KILIMANJARO).
Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport – Moshi Town
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport to be picked up, taken to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Moshi hotel – Marangu Gate to start the climb/ trek
Leave Moshi for Marangu gate by car at around 9:00 a.m. Start climbing the mountain from the gate to Mandara (2700 mts), which is a 3 to 4 hrs walk through montane forest.
Dinner and overnight stay at MANDARA HUT.
Day 3: Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking
Early in the morning we leave for Horombo (3700 mts), which is a 4 to 5 hours walk through open grass moorland.
Dinner and overnight stay at HOROMBO HUT.
Day 4: Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking
Leave Horombo hut for Kibo (4700 mts), which is a 4 to 5 hours walk past the last water point, traversing the saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi.
Dinner and overnight stay at KIBO HUT.
Day 5: Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking
Early in the morning at around 1:00 a.m , leave Kibo hut for Gilman’s point (5681 mts) which is a 5 hours walk on the crater rim to arrive early for a sunrise view over
Kilimanjaro. Walk another 1:30 hours to Uhuru peak – the highest point in Africa at (5869 mts). Start descending to Horombo hut taking 4 to 7 hours descent. Dinner and
overnight stay at HOROMBO HUT.
Day 6: Mount Kilimanjaro decent
After breakfast start descending the mountain to the park gate which is a walk of 5 to 6 hours, to be transferred to your hotel in Moshi.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Moshi Town – Kilimanjaro Airport
Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
END OF TOUR
Transport from Moshi to the Mountain gate.
Return Kilimanjaro Airport transfers
Fees of national park approved guide and porters.
Food on the mountain and on camping safaris (B/L/D).
