Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport – Moshi Town
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport to be picked up, taken to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Moshi – Marangu Gate to start Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking
Leave Moshi for Machame gate by car at around 9:00 a.m. Start climbing the mountain from the gate to Machame camp (3000 mts) which is a 5 to 7 hours walk through montane forest.
Dinner and overnight stay at MACHAME CAMPSITE.
Day 3: Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking
Early in the morning we leave for Shira camp (3800mts), which is a 5 to 7 hours walk through heath and moorland, via Picnic rock and the Shira plateau.
Dinner and overnight stay at SHIRA CAMPSITE.
Day 4: Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking
Leave Shira camp for Barranco camp (3900 mts) which is a 5 to 7 hours walk across a broad valley and climbing a ridge crest and crossing scree slopes and a river valley.
Dinner and overnight stay at BARRANCO CAMPSITE.
Day 5: Mount Kilimanjaro Trek
Leave Barranco camp for Barafu camp (4600mts) by crossing the floor of the great Barranco wall to the Karanga river that is the last water point on this route.
Dinner and overnight stay at BARAFU CAMPSITE.
Day 6: Mount Kilimanjaro Trek
Early in the morning at around 1:00a.m, leave Barafu camp for the summit – Uhuru peak – the highest point in Africa at (5896mts) taking a walk of 6 to 7 hours via Stella point. Start descending the mountain via Barafu campsite through the forest to Mweka campsite (3000 mts) which is a walk of 5 to 7 hours through the forest.
Dinner and overnight stay at MWEKA CAMPSITE.
Day 7: Mount Kilimanjaro Descent – Moshi Town
After breakfast start descending the mountain to the park gate at Mweka Wildlife College taking 3 to 4 hours to be transferred to your hotel in Moshi.
Overnight stay.
Day 8: Moshi Town – Kilimanjaro Airport
Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
